Anyone here have any information about the Benelli MP90 as a competition gun. Would be interseted to hear from people that have shoot it. Would you recommend buying one. Any problems you might have had with it???

I had an MP95E "Atlanta", the same gun without the better trigger group. I put Nills grips on it and had Larry's guns rework the trigger that it came with.
Great balance, very accurate, very nice trigger, easy to work on. For the money I couldn't see ME needing any more expensive gun to shoot bullseye with. With the right ammo it shot 5 shot one hole groups.. I didn't use the iron sights but instead had an Ultra Dot on it. If I was still shooting (BE) I'd still have it. It shot as well as a Pardini, an M41, and an Ferdwerkeau (SP). IMHO
Be safe..

Got an MP90S from Larry's. It has shot very well without any problems. Shoots almost as well as my Hämmerli 280. I haven't, though, tried all of the different grades of ammo yet. This is with just Wolf ME (and the regular low end plinking stuff) that I have a lot of in stock.

I too have a Benellie MP95E "Atlanta". It is very accurate and reliable. Good bullseye pistol for the money.

how would FEDERAL or CCI ammo go through. Anyone have any bad experiences with these two sorts of ammo???

I shot Wolf MT or SK Standard Plus (same round litterally) or Rem Eley. Every .22 seems to be different, even in the same run of pistols. Your gun will tell you what it likes best. I also had better luck with the 6 round magazines then the 9 rounders. Never tried Federal, but for MY gun, MT or SK shot better than CCI std. vel. or CCI Green Tag. Try as many brands and types of std vel as you can lay your hands on, you'll find the sweet load..
Be safe..

My MP95e loves CCI Standard or Green Tag. It does not like Federal.
BTW, it's not a wise idea to shoot High Velocity in these guns. (tends to batter the buffer to death)

Benelli MP 9O World Cup

I have a Benelli MP 9O World Cup and for all those who have shot it, it is god of the Match Pistol World. The MP 95 is nice but saying the Trigger is better on the MP 90. Is tantamount to saying a person could walk/swim around the Planet but Taking The SR71 Blackbird is a tiny bit faster. The trigger on the Mp 90 can be adjusted forward backward left or right. You can have it be 2 stage or single stage u can adjust the weight of pull and the length of pull for each stage. Mine is set to 15 grams pull on a long first stage. then it stops 3 More grams of pressure and 1/64th of an inch more and it fires. Also the Grip is adjustable to your Hand. And you need to try different ammo to see what your gun Likes. Put it in a vice so it cant move and shoot indoors. Ive tried 200+ types of match ammo in both my Match rifle and my MP 90 World Cup. The rifle likes Wolf Match Extra the Benelli likes Fiocci Match Extra. Never shoot cheap Ammo in Match guns. Always subsonic lead Ammunition.

• Extremely little muzzelmovement when fired, thanks to
• Axis of the barrel which is only 2mm above the top of the hand. What makes the shooting abilities of the Benelli pistols unique: The angel of the grip combined with the extremely low axis of the barrel.
• Sighting line is only 17mm above the axis of the barrel.
• Anatomic adjustable grip made by Karl Nill.
• Matte finish. The matte finish is eliminating glare.
• Slots for scopemounting. Telescopic sights are not allowed in ISSF (International Shooting Sport Federation) pistol shooting, but it's nice to have the option. Put on a scope and you can easily make your own ammo testing.
• Trigger housing in aluminum. Made of a single monoblock.
• Easy adjustment of triggerpull and weight, length and weight of first stage pull, triggerstop and the position of the trigger.
• 7mm wide trigger.
hope this helps

I'm no internet "expert", but the 300.00 extra they wanted for the World Cup to me at least wasn't worth it.. The Atlanta (95E) plus 300.00 in ammo worked out just fine..:neener:
