 My friend just bought a benelli nova pump. He is extreamly good at trap shooting. And i was wondering if the gun was good or bad. IS their any problems with it or not.

Rattly foreend. Nice ergonomics if it fits you. NICE rib. Real nice rib.

If the thing fits you, it will shoot well. If it doesn't fit you, you're SOL. It's got a one-piece plastic buttstock/receiver.

I don't for one minute regret buying my 870, though. It's all steel, it was $100 cheaper, it fits me well, I've shot thousands of rounds through it and it's like new, and I can re-purpose it as a deer gun, home defense gun, or a tacticool shottie. Accessories and parts are so readily available, it's ridiculous.

I got one in Nov. of last year. Haven't used it for trap (yet). I've put a couple hundred rounds through it bird hunting. So far, no problems. Shoots well for me. FWIW.

I liked the design and modularity of my nova, but the reach to the pump was uncomfortably long for my shorter arms. If the stock would've been an inch shorter, I'd have kept it and been smiling cause the price was fantastic!

Modularity?

All the other pumps out there are more modular, and you wouldn't have had to get rid of any of them because of stock dimensions.

The new SuperNova does address that, and it offers the Comfortech stock. It ain't cheap, for a plastic pump gun, but that stock is supposed to be great for heavy loads. And the Nova chambers them as big as they make them. I'd consider saving my pennies for one of their wonderful semiautos, however.:)
