Well I Love the hell out of my benelli super nova compared to the predecessor The nova and other models such as the eagle 1 and 2 this gun is on target and quick to recover with a smooth recoil and great feel all together. I bought the field model full powder black finish and composite stock this gun is lighter but a little heavy on the barrel end. This is just the beginning for me friends I am going after the new vinci 12 gauge semi auto It looked beautiful in the promo. Check it out at [email protected] tell me if you think I'm making a good choice for $1500.00. Thanks

Benelli.... Glock Hey if the kool aid taste good to you I say drink up. I don't care for the taste but to each their own. I am not saying it is not possible but I have not yet seen a Benelli in the field perform better than (insert brand) especially for the money. I am sure a couple of my buddies will be sporting the new Vinci this year in the duck blinds. Hopefully they have better luck with these Benellis then in the past.

I like everything in the Benelli line. But you should get some scales and weigh them sometime. My only complaint with the Nova or Super Nova is the excess weight. The Benelli auos in 12 guage weigh anywhere from 6.75 lbs to about 7.25 lbs depending on barrel length. The Nova and Super Nova both weight the same. At right around 8 lbs they are heavy pigs to swing. While they are well made guns they are by far the heaviest of all the pumps made.

I have not yet seen a Benelli in the field perform better than (insert brand) especially for the money.

My M-1 has out performed every other gun I've ever owned. By a wide margin.

You need to check out the other semi autos from the B's. Beretta and Browning. Buy the one the fits you best and meets your needs. For me it came to a Benelli Super Sport or Browning Sport ing Maxus(wood). Maxus fit the best. Take a look at Beretta's A400 in all its flavors and colors , the Maxus in all its variations and the Vinci in its different variations. Vinci gets a lot media exposure because of the reality show down in the bayou. maxus is just under 7lbs.

You might also want to consider the Remington Versamess sorry versamax. More expensive then the similar B's, fit and finish not as good, and QC suffers in comparison.

Also ask yourself to really need 3 1/2"? Chances are you dont.

Of the B's Browning has the best customer service. Beretta the worst for shotguns.

I love my Super Nova too. Sure, it’s heavy, and kind of ugly and I have no need for a 3 ½, but I love it anyway. It’s my primary hunting gun.

The Vinci intrigues me. If I didn’t already have a Beretta semi I’d had fitted and shot pretty well I’d be saving my pennies for one of those. That’s a lot of pennies though. Benelli’s are great but they don’t come cheap.

I have a Nova and a SBE 2. While the Nova is heavy, and the SBE is barrel heavy IMO I would prefer the weight. Ive swung a Sport Sport and it feels like your shooting with a starched peice of kite string. The Vinci seems like a solution to a problem that doesnt exist.

I've read many good things about Benelli firearms. Sadly, they're out of my price range.

You can afford the Nova. Priced at $419 they are only slightly more expensive than an 870 Express. But you get 3 choke tubes vs 1 and the gun is ready mount a sling on and will shoot 3.5" shells. To get any other pump gun with all those features (or add them later) will cost more.

I don't have any need for 3.5" shells, and I like the Remington better, but the Nova is a darn good gun. I like the Nova quite a bit, but personally am just too used to the 870 to make the change.

see i like the nova too its a well balanced gun if it weren't for the fixed stock i'd have one. but i noticed a lot of guys have something against 3.5 shells. I use my shotty for deer as well as upland bird and waterfowl so 3.5 comes in handy for popping 000 buckshot.
