I have many shotguns. My primary hunting gun used for hunting wild chukars for the last several years is a 12 ga Wingmaster, chosen for it's reliablity and dependablity. I was just introduced to a Benelli Super Sport II. Light, fast and deadly, super deadly. Dang. It's hard for me to warm up to this new fangled looking contraption, but it shoots so well. I am considering buying a Benelli. What are the differences in the
M2, the Cordoba and the Super Sport? I looked at the Montefeltro, but the rib seems lower and just did not have the feel of the Super Sport although I kinda like the looks of the Montefeltro. If I wanted one shotgun used for bird hunting primarily (chukars, pretty much exclusively) and occasional trap shooting, which Benelli would be the best choice, M2, Cordoba, Super Sport, other? Barrel length? Any suggestions?
Thanks.

I own a Montefeltro and love it. I got it for a song so I can't complain about any of the particulars.
My brother was going to trade it in and gave it to me for the trade price as opposed to the retail value along with a pretty comlete set of chokes. 28 in tube and a variety of chokes make it good for a variety of applications.
I really haven't been happier with a gun in a long time.

I love Benelli shotguns. I'll never buy a different auto.

I did pick up their new offering two nights ago, but I forget the name of it. It's got gel pockets throughout the stock and feels even better than my M1 Super 90. It's more expensive than the SBE.

You just can't go wrong with any Benelli you purchase. I'd be prone to go with the M2, though, try the SBE II, also. The SBE II, while a more expensive, will also take 3 1/2" shells----and there is an outstanding resale market for them, too.

I have the Sport ll in 12 ga. and love it! In fact, I'm about to buy the same thing in 20 ga. if that tells you anything.:)
