Okay I need some help guys, I'm looking to pick up A semi auto gun for clay shooting, various shooting drills, and small game and bird hunting.I think I've narrowed it down between the Benelli Super black or the Benelli M2 or the win x3, I'm looking to stay under 1500 and have found both or under that price. Just want to know peoples opinion on the two of them, and which one would last the longest if put to the test

I don't normally shoot clay birds or hunt waterfowl, but the few times I shot with buddies on a sporting clay course I was busting birds more often with my Benelli Tactical Shotgun than were folks in the area who had shotties worth about the cost of my minivan! I was getting lots of dirty looks for having one of the "EVIL ONES" in my possession.

I'll take Benelli quality everytime.

well the only problem with that is... they all feel really good, I mean they all swing well, felt recoil is not at all a factory, I mean i've gotten a chance to shoot the m2 and the sx3 and they both shoot AMAZING the black I haven't got to shoot but have got to hold it and play around with it fits a little bit more naturally than the other two but still they all feel great, also i haven't gotten to do much water fowl either this will be my first season, I actually got to do a little upland birds this past season and the rush is crazy just to see an bird come up from the grass and although I haven't mastered it yet,but be able to identify it in a matter of secs and then make a shot.

thanks ex lol so is benelli really the evil factory of shotgunning? lol cause that right there might just infulence my choice haha.

If you go benelli, I'd stick with the M2 (or M1 if you can find a good, used one for cheap). The SBE has a 3.5" chamber and normally a higher price tag, and you won't ever need 3.5" shells for "clay shooting, various shooting drills, and small game and bird hunting".

Both the M2 and sx2/3 are good, reliable guns.

alright thanks waterhouse. there's a good show in about 5 hours,so i think i'll try and find either the m2 or the sx3 for a little less than what i've found thanks all

Autoloaders are a bit snubbed in clays at my club. I usually shoot my Beretta 682 GSP for clays. That behind said, I also shoot my M1S90 Montefeltro quite a bit and love it.

Having owned a SBE1 for nearly seven years ( before I got rid of it) I don't believe they live up to the hype. Not many folks are going to tell you their $1400 shotgun is less than perfect. Mine was real persnickety with 2 3/4 loads and broke two firing pins in five years while shooting geese with 3.5 inchers. The good news is they retain their value really well. I have a "new to me 1187 special purpose in the safe, a Winchester 1400 on the way, and an Ithaca 37 Ultra Featherweight in lay-away at my local gunshop for the money it sold for. I'd go WINCHESTER.

As the "proud " owner of SX-2's, SX-1's , SBE's , Franchi 912's and Berettas (every auto) - I'd undeniably go with a beretta.
The SX-2 has a ton of recoil along with the Franchi and SBE, the Beretta 391 optima or extrema really tame the round being torched off.
Used my SX-2 turkey hunting last year, will use the extrema this year.
