My Uncle bought a 12g Super Vinci and took it out with me for dove opener. The gun would fire but the bolt would not close on the next round. The rounds would get stuck on the feed ramp. The gun did not ever properly cycle a round even after trying different dove loads. The manual says to break in the shotgun with standard hunting rounds. Whats standard? We were shooting 2 3/4 3 dram 1 1/8 ounce shot 7 1/2's muzzle vel 1200fps. I've read that other people have had the same problem. As of right now he has bought a very expensive single shot shotgun.

first off a standard dove load is 2 3/4 inch load 1 ounce shot 7 1/2 shot 3 1/4 dram eq 1290 ft per sec. And if you are having problems with cycling on a new gun especially a vinci your best bet would be to contact the manufacturer. I happen to own two benellis both a vinci an a super nova and I have never experienced a problem yet with anything so if your rounds are becoming jammed between the carrier and the bolt something is out of sinc. try oiling your gun and feeding rounds through manually. hopefully nothing is wrong because that is quite an expensive gun. good luck.

Unpossible. Everyone knows that Benellis are perfect and only Remingtons have problems.
Seriously, sorry your uncle is having problems with his new semi. The bolt not fully closing does not sound like a break in issue. I would have a gunsmith look at it for an opinion before getting involved with Benelli's less than stellar customer service.
