Unboxed and set up rock chucker with 7mm rem mag fl die. Set resizing die up according to instructions, Lubed outside of case and ran a case. Upon upward motion on handle, the case was extremely stuck in the die and the shoulder of the case is dented.

Thoughts?

Sounds like you put the lube on the shoulder instead of the sides of the case. I recommend adjusting the sizing die so that the case chambers easily, no more as it will work your brass more and could cause a headspace issue when fired. Welcome to the forum, don't be afraid to ask questions.

I was lubing the outside of the case. I'll clean the die good and try to adjust accordingly. Thanks for the responses guys!

You want lube on the sides of the case. A little on and in the neck. None on the shoulder. The lube from the neck will push down on the shoulder. If you have alot it will get trapped and dent the shoulder. Do what was posted above and look for the vent hole on the die. Most if not all have them. It's pin size. Make sure thats clean. I've seen some plugged solid causing trapped air causing dents.

Ok guys, looks like the combination of all of your suggestions has gotten me to an operational point. Cleaned the die real well, put back together and fiddled with the adjustment. Put a bit of lube inside neck, and on the case and it went a lot smoother, and no shoulder bend. There was some pull, but that was the neck sizing so I think we're good for that step. I just want to say thank you for sharing your knowledge with a beginner like myself!!

I'm not sure what lube your using and I sure don't want to send you off in to many directions..but would like to offer some help I wished I had when I was a beginner. Royal case and die lube is the best I have ever used, Imperial is second they are both outstanding. Clean your brass if you don't have a tumbler use a piece of fine steel wool, also make sure you clean inside of case neck. Use a q-tip to wipe a very small amount of lube inside of case mouth this will help with the expander ball being dragged back thru neck. Good luck, hand loading was one of the best decisions I have ever made..if you love to shoot hand loading is the next step to being happy with life.
