Does anyone know how hard it is to find one of these. I don't mean the Egyptian made helwan but the italian made one I can't find any on gunbroker or in my local shops. Does anyone know how much one of these would retail for as well? Thanks guys

There's a Florida dealer on gunsamerica.com who has an 80% "1951E" for $450 + $25 shipping. He doesn't say anything about extra mags, so I guess it comes with only 1. My research says the 'E' designates a Beretta made in Italy and sold to the Egyptians before they got the Helwan into production. It has a heel clip magazine release like the Walther P-38 and a lanyard loop in the same location as the Walther's - left rear bottom of the grip.

You can search under 'traderrich' or go to the Beretta pistol listings. I think it's on page 7.

Is $450 a good price? One sold on gunbroker back in June for apparently $340. Also, there's a Helwan w/box for $295 on gunsamerica and I found a 951E offered on a California gun forum for $250 in July '08. It sold for an unspecified sum.

The 951 is a good gun. I had one for years. Single stack semis fit me much better than hi-caps. I had to sell it for medical bills and it's a gun that I miss, so much that I bought a Helwan in good shape as a beater and loaner gun. The Egyptian pistol has been a serviceable piece. I watch the locking block for signs of trouble, but so far, so good.

do you want that in the 7.62X22mm or the 9X19 calib..............HEY COOL! this forum has a spell checker!!:D...........sorry ADD.....anyway.....the 1951 is only semi-classic in nature.........unless I'm behind the times again.......anyway I'd put a true Italian one's value at about $2000.....that's just a SWAG.....i have no idea....i just know the 1951 was succeeded by the 92s (which was the predecessor to the 92fs) sometime in the early 80's....both beretta and taurus were working on it when the company split.......which resulted in the inferior Taurus PT92 and the superior Beretta 92FS both being created....

my folks haven't taken me to a place with guns for about 5 or 6 months now (I'm starting to get a little blue-you-know-what-ed over here) but if i see one I'll shoot you a line (GEDDIT?! SHOOT you a line!! LULZ!!!) SPEAL KHEK TIEM!!!

1951E is the Beretta 1951 made for Egypt. The Italian commercial 2951 is pretty rare, nice blued finish, ribbed black plastic grips (similar to WWII P38 ribbed style). I had a beauty, in the box, and sold it several years ago for $650. I have not seen another one since. They tend to be a bit sharper in recoil than the later Beretta 92 series. Also, parts are impossible to find. I had a 1951E wit ha cracked locking block, and could never get one for it (not even one from the Helwan importers. They do not keep spare parts).
