Hello, while disassembling my bobcat i noticed that the slide will not clear the end of the frame. it pops up from the spring, but is just short of clearance. I have seen the forums regarding the pin of the left side holding the ejector, and have attempted to push it back, which i believe i have. Any other suggestions or take down recommendations to get this thing apart? Thanks

There are two pins in that area. One for the ejector and one right behind the ejector. Either one of them can walk into the upper portion of the slide rail.

Considering you can't see the pins until the slide is removed, I don't know what pin you actually pushed in.

I can tell you I had this exact problem years ago with my Bobcat, with the ejector pin walking to the left into the upper part of the slide rail. Basically, I had to force the slide past the pin with considerable effort. I replaced the battered pins with new ones from Numrich gun parts (I believe), and I cleaned up the damage to the slide rail with a small file and polished with super fine emery paper.

The groove in the slide rail from that pin walking is still there.

Thank you for sharing, i will probably get to that point of forcing it and replacing parts.

Mine does that too. I lightly pry up with a plastic brush handle and wiggle the slide until it comes off. I never noticed walking pins. I will have to look at them.

You know Kyle, I should have asked this from the beginning.

Is the gun new and this is the first time you are taking the slide off? Or, does it have a lot of rounds fired through it and this is the first time slide removal has been difficult?

Before forcing the slide over a misaligned pin. Grab your plastic faced hammer and tap the slide while it's sitting flat on a block and then attempt to raise the slide. Continue the tap drill until the slide lifts off. You need to determine which way the pin drifted so if it don't work after a couple taps turn it over and try the other side. Then Blue Locktite both them suckers.
