I have a Beretta 84F in 380 which Beretta says you can reverse the mag release for left hand use. I did so but could not fully inset the mag. If I depressed the mag release I could insert it all the way in and it locked. Removal was normal when I depressed the mag release. Tried several Beretta 84 mags and none would insert flush without depressing the mag release. Anyone reversed their mag release on a Beretta 84F and had similar problems? Thanks

It's probably hanging on the slide release slot on the magazine due to a sharp edge - a slight bevel on the lower edge of the mag release, just where the shiny spot is, should do the trick.

Thanks but I believe I found out what the problem is. With the mag catch reversed, it’s catching on the opening / cut on the mag for the slide hold open part of the follower. The cut extends about a 1/4 inch below the follower. Perhaps filing the bottom of the mag catch on an angle to the top will allow the mag to be inserted. Am surprised this problem isn’t on the web or forums.
