Glock 17, Beretta 92, which is more suited to ccw. I have a Beretta, 2 in fact. I am purchasing a Glock 17, my first glock, so my question is, which is better for concealed carry.

To me, they're both good pistols & it comes down to whichever I did best with. The Beretta's (double stack) grip is too big for me & I'd prefer the Glock, especially if I couldn't use a Hi Power ;)..... The G17 is probably easier to CCW, but a good holster, belt, & clothing would work with either.

The Glock is lighter and somewhat smaller. If you are used to the manual of arms for the Beretta you will find the Glock to be much simpler in operation and IMHO much less forgiving of operator error. Keep that trigger well covered in a good holster and keep your effing finger off the effing trigger.

I personally have a thing for Glocks..I like the way they handle and they are quite simple to use....be real, practice with both and pick up the one you get best results with.

Also, I would actually advice a high power, they are also great guns.

of your choices, I'd prefer the G17, but my overall preference would be a Sig P225 or P228 (sorry, had to sneak that in there!)

Givin' the nod to...

Glock. I carry a Glock 23, which is one frame size down from the Glock 17. And absolutely love it. Very light and easy to conceal. Even though the 17 is larger, it is still light. Some guys I know at the shop (yeah, I know everyone starts their stories like this, but bear with me) got bored and started playing w/ a scale one day. They found out that a fully loaded full-size Glock is slightly lighter than an UNLOADED Beretta. As mentioned above, Glocks are extremely simple to operate. Some people like not having to disengage a safety before firing, some people like the extra step. It's up to you.
As always, it comes down to you. Try carrying both, maybe use a cheap pancake holster to try both. Once you decide which one you like, then start thinking about a good holster and accessories. Good luck.

I have both. The G17 gets the nod during warmer weather, but I am comfortable with either one after labor day. The only problem with the Beretta is if I find myself carrying for more than 16 hours straight. Then I might start to wonder why I didn't bring the Glock instead.

Really depends on which one you can more comfortably carry. Both will work well if you commit the time & effort to one or the other.

Your kidding, right?
This is like asking which is sportier, an Lincoln Town Car or a Mustang.

When it comes to driving across the state, I'll take the Lincoln... but for jetting around the block, sure, the mustang will do.

I'll throw in one for the Beretta. I haven't owned a Glock yet and would like to someday but I've been carrying my Vertec for almost two years and am happy.

I recently purchased a Beretta Centurion 9mm (great firearm) -- and I plan as using it as my CCW as the weather cools!

:D :what: :D
