Hey guys...

I took some peoples advice on here after reading a lot, and have been shooting weekly anywhere between 50-150 rounds out of my 92fs. I do really love it after I put some trigger time on it. Ive probably only had about 8 sessions with the weapon at the range, but I had the opportunity to shoot with my local Police department for their pistol/rifle qualifying (Im intering there for a resume booster)

I shot a 220/230, while the average according to the instructor was around a 205 or 210. Im VERY impressed with this little system.

My only gripe is that it is a very large framed pistol, and to maybe help with the control of it I thought of adding houge grips. Does this add a lot of extra size over the grips? and is it worth the extra size / money for a set?

BTW. I also shot 100/100 with my LAR-15... I was top shot with the rifle category. Needless to say, my chief of police learned this little ROTC college kid can shoot. ;)

The Hogue grips without the finger grooves don't add much if anything to the thickness of the 92. At least I don't feel they do.

If you're thinking of the slip-on grip thing with palm swells and finger grooves, it does make for a thicker grip. Comfy, though.

The hogue wraparound grips add A LOT of thickness to the grip. The plain hogue panel grips feel a tad thicker than the stock grips.

If you want thinner grips, go aluminum. I'm currently using a pair of stock grips stippled for better grip.

are you talking hogue rubber or aluminum?

hogue rubber might add the tiniest amount of thickness, but they're worth it..

if you're talking aluminum, they'll probably be a little thinner.

Alumagrips makes grips for the 92 which are a lot thinner than stock 92 grips. I had to sell mine because they were too thin for my hands..

I have got small- medium hands so I put on Hogue rubber grips. It makes the gun easier for me to control. I actually shoot it pretty well.

The only other choice is wraparound pachmayrs for $35 and I doubt they're better than the hogues...

I say just go with the hogue panels and not the wraparounds...

okay, I just wanted to see if I was going to be wasting $20 for grips I was going to take off right away....

those are what Im looking at... is there any other companies that make a similar product for cheaper or better quality?
Again, the hogue panels WITHOUT the finger grooves (just the replacement, rubber grip panels) will not add much to the feel of width/circumference. The ones you posted with the wraparound finger grooves will.

Up to you.

If you're after a thinner grip, look into some aluminum grips. But the Hogue's fit my smaller hands just fine.

awesome, Ill just pick up some hogue panels and call it good. thx for the help guys.
