hello everyone, now that you can buy a beretta 92fs compact at least for a short time I was thinking of getting one. I use to carry one long time ago until the department took them back and issue us sigs. I miss the beretta so I ended up with a 92fs Inox which has been a good weapon for HD and the range. It a bit big for off duty carry and I know the compact isn't much smaller but I was just wondering if any of you would sell the inox to get the compact I don't really want to just buy the compact since the two weapons are so close I'm the type that just don't want two weapons of the same type. just wondering what some of you might think.

My advice is generally to get as much gun as you are willing to carry. The gun you have on you is better than the one at home in the safe. That being said, I carry a full size weapon because I am willing to carry a full size weapon. Not everyone is.

With that in mind, it sounds like you are looking for an off duty weapon. If you think that the smaller package is going to make the difference between you carrying or not, I would say that it is definitely worth the buy/sell. If it does not equate to you carrying more, I would personally stick with the Inox. That is a very nice weapon.

Heck, just get the compact and keep the inox.

I have like seven 92s... I bought two of the new compact models :)

yea Shipwreck that would be a solution but I just have never wanted two of the same weapon at one time. I had carried them both quite awhile ago and know thar they are pretty close in size. I have seen your collection on other post and I must admit they are very nice. It just not for me.

That's cool. They aren't exactly the same weapon, though. Sorta like a G17 and a G19.

I personally only like black colored Berettas. I'm not into the Inox - and if I did have an Inox, I'd have to get night sights put on, as I hate those red dots on the sights.

So, if that's the case - I'd sell and get the compact then. The compact will likely be rarer unless they continue to import them in the long term...
