Today I installed Houge rubber grips on my M9A1 and 92fs compact. I left the lock washers off that came with the original factory grips as the grip screws were not flush with the rubber grips when the screws were fully tightened. The grip screws were high enough to be noticeably annoying with the lock washers installed when gripping the guns. Does anyone know of any problems that will be caused by leaving the lock washers off.

You are supposed to leave the washers off when using hogue grips. Everyone takes these off for hogue grips.

So, you are fine. I have hogue grips on all six of my Berettas. I just save those washers with the factory grips
