installing wood grip on my cz75 sp01, should i reuse the retaining washer?

factory rubber grip came with the spikey washer, should i reuse that for the wood grip or leave it out and just use the screw??

If it fits the wood grip, and most do, then yes, by all means use it.

well i figure the self locking washer will dig into the grip and basically carve out the wood? i dunno, maybe im just paranoid i may ruin it

It's supposed to "dig into" the grip to some extent, wood, plastic or rubber.

It was meant to be used for any grip. Keeps grip screws from backing out. Use It.
