is there an easy way i can refinish these so they arent covered in whast is effectively fine grit sandpaper?

I cleaned mine well and sprayed them with some flat Krylon about three years ago and it's held up well. Easy to touch up if needed.

Man those Checkmate USGI issue M9 mags are the worst (in the desert anyway).... I do still have a few of them and mine do OK with ball ammo, but I only use them at the range.

I refinished some orginal M9 mags with Brownells Teflon Moly back in the 90's and they are still doing great.

It's a very smooth & slick finish so it may help those Checkmate's out.... don't know how your going to spray it inside evenly thou.

I've shot about a dump truck load of 9mm through similar mags in the past :p ... i know they work... just hate the finish
