Looking at one of these two for range/fun gun. I know both pretty much have a solid reputation, but was wondering if the finish on the baby eagle is really as bad as I've heard a few people comment on? I know the steel eagle is much heavier as well and probably has fewer aftermarket options than the px4. Just wondering which one you guys would recommend overall.
Again, this will not be for carrying or anything else but the range.

Thanks guys

Brad

I found that for range use heavy helps. Obviously a lot different if you're going to carry. After trying about 9 different 9's and .40's I decided that all my favourites were steel framed. Of the lot I enjoyed the feel of the Baby Eagle the most until I got to try shooting a CZ SP-01 Shadow that had been treated to a trigger job..... So I bought one... :D

How the gun fits your hand and how naturally you can point it counts for a lot. For me the BE and the CZ worked wonderfully. Another close favourite was the Berreta 92.

i shot my buddies px4 9mm using the same exact bullets i was using in my 92F. Even though the Beretta 92F was 5-6oz heavier, the PX4 had less recoil because of its rotating barrel assembly. I was far more accurate with the PX4 as well and im a decnt shot with my 92F. plus you get the super-luminova night sights which are awesome, an accessory rail and higher capacity.

I would go with the PX4
