I popped into my local gun store to pick up a few snap caps for my USP 45 Tactical. The trigger is already great but I plan to do a bit of dry firing to get used to the pull and remedy any flinch.

One guy said they were out but another young man asked what caliber I was looking for. When I said ".45" the guy said they may have a pack left. The brand that they had was the Beretta brand snap caps. I was hoping for AZOOMs but no such luck. 5 caps, $15.95. I wasn't concerned about the price, seeing as how this was the only brand they carried.

They looked like quality caps, red clear plastic and heavy brass end with a durable looking "primer". You can see the spring through the red plastic and the whole unit looked pretty durable.

Wondered if anyone else out there in THR has any experience with the Beretta snap caps.

Those sound like the triple K snap caps I have for my Beretta 96. They work ok but after a while they get a nice dent on the brass "primer." I don't really use them much anymore. I just dry fire it without them.

Sounds like the ones I got at a gun show long ago. Seemed to work fine (of course the gun worked fine without them too, hence the reason I haven't seen them in a while.)

I gave mine back to the shop.
Unlike the A-Zoom, the plastic grips and loading failed systematically.
