I am seriously considering a CZ-75B and looked at one yesterday. The box has several plastic dummy carridges that I take to be snap caps, like one would use for a double-barelled shotgun.

Why? Is it improper to dry-fire a CZ-75?

The roll pin that retains the firing pin in the CZ 75B has been known to break under extended dry firing. Some now come with doubled roll pins to address this. I use snap caps in my CZs.

I also recommend that you use snap caps!

It is a nice habit to get into and really protects your weapon. A word about the snap caps that came with my CZ. They were really cheap and did not last very long. I bought some very good ones at my gun store and feel much better about that. Good shooting;)
