Hi folks,
I've had this Beretta Stampede for about five years now, four of which have been plagued by a problem: whenever the hammer is pulled back into half cock, the gate catch engages, making it impossible to spin the cylinder.
I have had the gun sent back to Beretta once. Upon its return, it appeared that all problems were solved. But alas, its old habits soon resurfaced.
I bought this gun when I thought Cowboy Action Shooting was something I was going to be getting into, but as it isn't anymore, I'm looking to get rid of this otherwise fine revolver. But I don't want to sell it as is unless I've exhausted my means of trying to repair it myself.
The transfer bar safety mechanism appears much more complex than traditional SAAs, and taking it apart myself to find the cause became suddenly daunting and confusing with nothing more than a disassembly schematic to aid me through the process.
All that to say, here am I, hoping someone might be able to shine some light on what may be causing this problem, and how it may be fixed.
Thanks for you time.
