Not a lot of options for red dot mounting on this one . Could have mounted it .250 lower but you would have to remove the top plate to take off the slide for cleaning . Wasn’t appealing to me . Open sights are usable , kinda . All stainless . Time to build a compensator. 7536E05F-CD53-453F-969C-BB529DE272AF.jpeg 34A96AEB-089F-4B2D-93AC-56E58F827C28.jpeg

Very cool.

There is also a mount that you can use that goes in the rear sight dovetail. The guy who makes it is on the Beretta Forum

I saw the Berreta team had a couple open class guns and it used the rail for the optics mount . The mount was a work of Art , but for me it looked like it lowered the dot about .200 lower than what I did . I decided on the frame mount . Also theirs would require removing the mount to remove the slide . What I did is lower than a dovetail mount . If I went with a dovetail mount I wouldn’t get to mill and drill , where’s the fun in that . The barrel in these guns sits so close to the top of the slide anyway .
