I've chrono'd some of my .40 S&W loads. I'm getting an average of 920 ft/sec with my Speer 180 gr FMJ, 6.2gr Power Pistol, 1.125" COL, CCI primers.
These are good loads but not near the max for Power Pistol. However- I'm starting a batch of Berrys 180gr plated bullets. These are about the same length as the Speer bullets. I'm not sure when I'll get some day light to chrono the Berrys. But I'd like to crank out a bunch in the mean time. Stupid idea? Any idea of what I could expect for speeds with the plated bullets with the same powder charge?
