Berry's finially came out with a 38/357 158 gr. thick plated bullet rated for 1500 fps, $129.96/1000, qualifying it for free shipping. I was wondering why they hadn't done it, and now here it is.
Still may not be good for a carbine at full throttle, but at least good for most any load in handgun

Looks pricey for what it is. I use these with great results; they are also rated for 1500fps and a bit cheaper. I paid 7.5 cents apiece for mine from the clearance section, but even at full retail they are substantially more affordable.

That's why I usually order Berry's through Powder valley, unless Berry's is having a seconds sale. I just have to order a couple different bullets to offset the shipping.

Xtreme has 5-10% off and free shipping sales really often. Basically for every holiday, even Valentines & Presidents day. All if their hollow point style bullets are heavy plated and rated for 1500fps
Their 158gr RN hollow points sell for just under $52 per 500 when on sale and $56 / 500 when not.

Why not RMR and their 158 gr FN. Rated to 1400 unless you need the extra claimed 1500?

I tested some by severely crimping, smashing with a hammer and in a vise. The plating is not gonna come off.!

I missed that thread.
I haven't tried any of RMR pistol bullets (plated or jacketed) yet. I am looking at a few different bullets of their's I would like to try. I do like the quality of their 223 bullets.

When I saw that Berry's was offering a thick plated in 38/357, I kinda thought it took them a while. But I'm still surprised that the haven't just come out with a jacketed. They do for 223.
For me, I have nearly 1k of ordinary plated 158 gr. .357" bullets I bought off a member here at the High Road. And I have been working with MBC and Hornady's 140 gr. bullets as magnum loads.
As for Berry's, there are only 2 bullets that I keep in constant, must have, stock. All others are if I find a decent pricing.
