I have both of these guns, yes I know! What do you think would work better for cc? I carry IWB and in an ankle holster. I normally carry a kimber in the winter but here in AZ the summer it is hot and yeah. I am proficient with both of them by the way.

I don't care for either one. I refuse to skimp on serious life saving equipment.

Were I forced to choose, it'd be the Taurus Model 85

.

I bought a bersa when I first got into handguns. Never got to shoot it but once. Something inside went bad after one shot.

Just bought a taurus 85ul in January for my birthday... carry it everyday.

I take the Bersa over the Tauraus every time. I will NEVER waste money on a Taurus or Rossi.

I bought a Bersa .380 for my wife. It was $250.

If you are proficient with both, then I don't think it matters. Either .380 or 38 special will work if you do your part. I would carry the one that feels most comfortable after carrying it all day. If you practice with it at the range regularly and don't have any malfunctions, then you know it will work if you need it.

I would say that both these bargain weapons are fine. I would, however, try to put a couple hundred rounds through either of them before using them for concealed carry. I own 10 handguns, some of them rather expensive, but the Bersa Thunder
.380 is my regular carry piece.

I have a Bersa Thunder .380 and a Taurus 24/7 Pro .40. The Bersa is easier to carry but I would rather pack the Taurus because I think it shoots better for me. I can hit what I want with both though and the Bersa is a great gun. Lot's of folks carrying them these days. I have the 15+1 shot hi-cap one but it's a little more expensive and harder to find than the regular ones.

As long as they are both reliable it dosen't matter. I have fired the Taurus and it seemed to be an alright piece.

My 85 is an ultralite and carries well in a pocket. It always goes bang and is a very accurate snubby. I understand the Bersas are good little guns, but they're porky for a .380, let alone the 9. I do like autos for carry, but they have to be pocketable for me. We get hot AND humid down here and it's year around with little spurts of cooler weather. I just don't do well with IWB, anyway, much prefer pocket carry. I just don't think the Bersa makes a good pocket gun.

However, I have a Kel Tec P11 I prefer, but I do carry the Taurus when I get into a revolver mood. They are both DA guns, both going bang on a long trigger pull with no safeties to mess with.

Taurus...NO problem

Gee, Folks. I have have several J-frame sized Taurus .38 Specials. And, all have performed well for years. Never a glitch. My model 85 ultra-light has been my friend for years over all the bigger caliber guns and semi-autos in my gun safe. Small, light, and with the Speer Gold Dot .38 Special ammo for short barreled guns a very effective, useful, easy-to-carry defense gun.
