Have a Bersa 380 cc - great gun, good quality at a good price.

As for those that disagree, and it it is OK to disagree, please do so in manner more in keeping with the High Road Forum rules.

You get what you pay for? How about the handgun I paid nearly three times as much for that choked on the second shot ever fired through it and shed parts of itself on the range floor? Yeah, sure got what I paid for there.

The owners are happy with them and the 9mm is one of the best sellers As for mags well if a member of http://bersachat.com after 10 posts you can get a 10% discount on factory mags
At present I have 5 mags of different calibers listed I will give 3 away tomorrow night to members . its my double pick I pick 5 winners the pick3 of the 5 Mags holsters T shirts lots of free stuff . Their will be custom wood grips for the 9 and I belive 40 very soon

My Thunder 9 is about 13 years old and has fired many thousands of rounds with no problems. It had one of the smoothest triggers out of the box that I have experienced. My only complaint is that the grip is a bit large for my hand. Should have bought the 9UC as well. Magazines are expensive now, but I bought a bunch when they were cheap.

Had the .380 sold when ammo went through the roof, regret it now. My wife sure did like it.
Had the .45 too. Thought I might carry it, but it was too heavy, traded it with a rifle for an AR-15. Got a good deal, but I do miss the gun.

The .380 only had 500 rounds or so, the .45 easily had 1,000.

Both were reliable, accurate, and rugged. I'd recommend the brand to anyone on a budget.

Kimber? ;)

If you are on a budget, yes the Bersa .380s will do. Not in the same class of fit and finsh of, say, a Sig 232, but Bersas work and shoot strait. I'm not wild about the .380 round, but in good hands the Bersa will shoot quite well and deliver the rounds where needed.

Same goes for the Taurus line (yes I know they are in different countries.)

I have one Bersa, a .380 I got cheap, fully nickle, and I found a spare nickle mag for $32 bucks new. I keep it along with a Taurus 85 DAO .38 as examples off good inexpensive guns for CCW.

I've seen a couple of posts where Haifisch floats in.....

He's a contrairian. Entitled to his opinion, sure, but likes the attention.

Sold my .380CC, but only because a great deal came along that I had to sell something quickly to fund it. I wouldn't mind another Bersa or two sometime down the road. They're certainly not bottom of the barrel. Decent quality for a decent price. The market needs guns at every price point, and I think Bersa serves its price point pretty well.

I have the Bersa Thunder 9mm Hi-Cap model and love it. Granted, the finish on the slide was uneven and a little rough but I stripped and blued it and it looks much better now. It's a reliable High-Capacity pistol; the recoil is negligible when firing and it has not yet produced a failure, even why I try to limp-wrist it by holding it as loosely as I can. It has fed every time of ammo I have put through it, even including some old iffy reloads I had.

My wife has the Bersa Thunder 380 and that is a very good performer as well. The finish was much nicer on the 380 than the 9mm.

I have really liked both of these and would love to get the .45 UC model as well.

Highly recommended.

I spent a year testing out guns at ranges and trying to figure out which one I would buy. I decided to get the Bersa UC 9mm and I don't regret it. I love that it is ambidextrous. It is a solid metal gun and not plastic. I like the weight. I like the grips. The size was just what I wanted. I like that it holds 13 rounds.

I went into it without any bias toward any manufacturer. I just wanted a good 9mm. If you just look at it for what it is, you will find a solid gun for a good price (btw, I got mine for $330)
