I've been looking at the Bersa in .380, and I'm really impressed with the fit and finish of the gun. Any thoughts and experience on reliability and accuracy would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Crazy
I've bought one and two friends have bought one as a result of firing mine. No malfunctions at all. In my opinion, it is one of the best deals out there in firearms. For those who can't afford much, it gets them something reliable, accurate, and nice. For those who can afford more, it puts a nice versatile (IWB, OWB, ankle carry) piece into their collection that won't really affect their pocket book.
Hello. This might be the link in question, but if you'll do a search, I think you'll find that several have posted favorable observations on this pistol.
mine is completely reliable and very accurate. I've had many people decide to buy one after shooting mine. A gun dealer who tried mine out even started stocking them.
They are outstanding guns! If you can get an older one, they seem to be finished a little smoother from what I have seen. Nickel is my favorite but the delux blue with nickel or gold accents is also really nice.
Find the one you like and get it, don't get a finsh that you don't like just to save cash. Whatever you spend on it is going to be a bargin so you might as well get just what you want.
One of my biggest regrets is ever selling my Bersa. I had a model 83, which is a single stack .380 and it was very accurate, and I never experienced a malfunction with any type of ammo.
Yup, $225 for a two-tone isn't bad. They are great guns, you can't afford to not buy it
I've had a Bersa Thunder in .380 for a bit over a year now. Great gun, I love it. It has never failed to fire, extract, feed, etc. Perfect reliablility. Also, with the fixed barrel design it is incredibly accurate, especially for such a small gun. I have the two-tone (nickel aluminum frame, blued steel slide). I have been thinking about picking up another in all blue.
Uh-oh, are these things addictive? Will I be longing for a blue one when I pick up the two tone? I hate it when that happens…. I always give in and have to end up explaining to the wifey why I just HAD to have two…
I've been waiting on mine in nickel for about 2 months, I emailed the Distributor early this week and he replied that the nickel was to be in the shipment due in by the end of this week, if anyone is interested
Just picked one up myself. 2 tone model. They had a few nickel but had really marked up the price for that version and since they sell well wouldn't negotiate. Am impressed. Only put about 75 rounds through it (after cleaning off the factory shipping grease and applying normal oil). Sights dead on and very accurate..more accurate than I am at this point to be sure. Only problem I had===> didn't have enough ammo (don't ya hate that?).
Fantasic gun the Bersa. I carry it when concealment is most important.
Usually I carry a Glock 26, as for some reason, its just more comfortable to shoot. The physics of it escapes me, but the Bersa seems to have a little more snap in it.
But all in all, the Bersa is a FANTASTIC gun for carry. I just wish extra magazines weren't so expensive.
My wife has a duo tone, we love that gun.
It's a great shooter, and after a day at the range with the .40 the .380 is like nothing.
Although we have had 3 stovepipes up and to the left with Winchester White box (3 out of 1200 rounds so far)
Zero other problems, Blazer, Corbon, Federal, PCM.
I bought my wife a Thunder 380 for this past Mothers Day and she loves it. Well, maybe not the way it ejects brass. She was wearuing a low cut top one day..but that's another story.
Any how, I don't get to sneak it out too often but one of these days I'm going to get one for my self. Accurate? You betcha! Reliable? Yes and how!
Ammo can get pricey and not everywhere stocks it but it got me into reloading so I guess that's a good thing.
