I own 3 Bersa pistols,,,

A Thunder 22,,,
A Thunder 380,,,
A Thunder Pro UC 9mm

The .22 has several thousand rounds through her,,,
The 380 has fired well over a thousand rounds,,,
The 9mm has fired just under 500 rounds.

Mine have been absolutely trouble free.

I'm a Bersa fanboy because they have all worked so well for me.

I have had nothing but good experiences with the three Bersa pistols I own, but the Glock G42 has replaced them as my favorite 380.

what about the .32 ACP? I undertand that European law enforcement depends on that caliber?
Much higher velocity than the .380.

I prefer 380 because rim lock is not a problem with 380 like it is with 32acp, I like the larger hole, there is a much bigger selection of 380 rounds, 380 is also cheaper than 32 now and there also is a much better selection of small 380 pistols than there are of 32acp.

I really like my Bersa Thunder. It's small & compact, and shoots well. At first I had some fail to feed, but I took the mag spring out and stretched it a little between my hands and and poof, the problem disappeared. Since then, it has been flawless. With the cost of it, I call it my poor man's PPK.

I have a Bersa Thunder .380. It's the concealed carry model. Really love it. I've owned it since 2010. I've only had one problem: The Russian (?) ammo, Tul doesn't work well in the little Bersa. It will not fire more than 3 shots without jamming. No problems with all the other ammo I've used. For concealed carry, I have 3 mags loaded with Hornady Critical Defense. That's 24 rounds of lethal firepower. I've been very happy with the Bersa.

I have the Thunder 380 concealed carry model with about 1,500 rounds through it. It has not been perfectly trouble free... The decocker lever and the slide stop had to be replaced. It can be finicky with certain lower priced ammo, but never had a single problem with a quality self defense round. Being all metal, it has a nice balance and is extremely accurate with its fixed barrel. The lifetime warranty is a big plus as well.

I've owned Thunder 380 since 2010 and have had no issues with it. I have several hundred rounds through it (wwb, Federal, CCI, and my handloads) and it's never failed in any function. It's easy to carry and fun to shoot. I bought my son one and he's given it to my daughter-in-law for her protection. They both like it.

Get it and buy some ammo with the money you would have spent on something else.

I carried a Bersa .380 (model 383) for years, before switching to a S&W 3913LS. It was very accurate, and 100% reliable with ammo it liked (and I shot it quite a bit). The only ammo it had trouble with was some European FMJ that had an oddly shaped ogive; it was 100% reliable with everything else I tried, both FMJ and Federal Hydra-Shok.

I'm not sure about the newer models, but you had to carry the 383 with the safety ON, as the manual safety was also the firing pin lock. It was no trouble to flick off during the draw, though. Accuracy was quite good, better than most 9mm's.
