I was playing around with my newest purchase, a Duotone Bersa Thunder UC Pro and was checking the reliability of extraction, feeding, what have you. Now I had one pretty consistent problem, and that is that either on the last round, or when there was no magazine inserted, the case would consistently fail to extract. It would perfectly extract every other time when there were rounds in the magazine, but every time the magazine was empty, it wouldn't extract.

Does anyone else have this problem?

And I wish I could shoot it, but for a whole myriad of reasons (not enough land to shoot on my own property, no open firing ranges in this season), I can't actually shoot it (which bugs the ever living hell out of me)

Just to make sure I understand, you are working the action by hand with live ammo. That is not something I would recommend for a few reasons. First and foremost it is not the safest practice. Next, when you work it by hand, the force and physical characteristics of the actual function is different. Could you have a problem, yes but not necessarily. It needs to be shot. Finally when you chamber a round a number of times, you can get bullet set back which will cause higher pressures with that round----not a good thing.

You can go to http://www.bersachat.com/forums/forum.php for a lot of information on the Bersa.http://www.bersachat.com/forums/forum.php

No way to tell if it is a problem til you shoot it!! There is also no way you can simulate the speed and power of real recoil. FWIW I have had 2 Bersa Pro 9mm's, and they were both flawless. Go shoot it, and good luck!
