Who owns a Bersa here? What letter grade would you give it? What are its drawbacks?

I like the way they look and feel. The price isn't bad either.

Are they accurate enough for popping vermin at reasonable range?

do a search for ncflyfisher from your home page . He is an avid bersa shooter and likes tham very much. He hangs more so at one of the bersa forums and over at carolinashotersforum

The only Bersa I've ever shot is my Thunder 380.
I like it a lot, it's well made, accurate and I've never had an issue with it.
I don't shoot it a lot, ammo is a little pricey, but I wouldn't shy away from buying another one.

I bought one for my wife and it has been 100% reliable. It eats all HP ammo, as well as my handloads. I honestly think the Bersa Thunder is the best value for any firearm in the market today.
Grading, I would give it a B+..........it's a heavy (23 oz?) .380 and there are a lot of lighter ones out there today, but not for $250.
YMMV

I've got a Bersa Thunder Ultra Carry chambered in 9mm. It won't win any beauty contest but it just plain works, every time, all the time. I think the ultra carry designation is a bit of a stretch due to it being on the heavy side but I mostly use it as a truck/woods gun where it's openly carried so weight is not an issue for me. Excellent value IMO.

I've had one for years.
Very reliable
Very very accurate.
Well made.
For the price on hell of a buy.
Only problem I have is the slide locking back.

I have four Bersas. Two 9mm Ultracompacts, 1 Fullsize 9mm and 1 .22/6. All three 9mms have been 100% with over 1K through them (Fullsize has over 5K through it). The .22 works fine with CCI Minimags, but doesn't like bulk .22 ammo.
All four have nice triggers and are plenty accurate.
The only weak spot for Bersas is that their finish on the matte models isn't the prettiest, but it seems to hold up fine.
My letter grade for the Bersa line would be an A.

I have a 9mm Bersa. It has been fantastic. It will eat anything I feed it. The accuracy is also very good. I feel like a better shot than I really am with that one. The ambidextrous safety and slide release make it great since my boys are both lefties. The magazine release is also switchable. The recoil feels lighter than many models. It is very easy to field strip and clean.

The biggest drawback was that it took so long to get in. Bersas are often on back order. It is a SA/DA 9mm. The DA trigger pull is a bit on the heavy side.

Overall, I would highly recommend this 9mm.

I'd give my thunder 380 pre lock an A, I've read bad reviews on here a few times and I'm left scratching my head, I absolutely loooooove mine, shoots great, eats almost anything, easy to conceal but more comfortable to shoot than a micro, and pretty darn accurate

My firestorm 22 is a good little gun. The slide lock slips a little, but its decently accurate. Certainly worth the money.

We picked up a Bersa .380 a while ago just for cheap while my gun was off to the smith and I would have a very, very tough time finding a gun with a better DA/SA trigger in that price range.

It's been eating all the ammo we can put through it and aside from me wanting to trade it on for a 9mm UC there's no reason to ever let it go. Some people say they feel "cheap" in their hands, but I think that's just a matter of weight. A lot of people think heavier has to be better by default.

I've had a Thunder .380 for about three years now. After 2,000+ rounds I've had zero FTFs and less than a dozen FTEs. All of them were with Russian steel-cased crap I bought during the Great Ammo Drought. I've had zero problems with American brass.

It was cheap to buy, has been utterly reliable, and is quite accurate. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

I carry a UC9 on and off. I like it plenty and would recommend one to anyone looking for such a pistol without hesitation.

I have a UC .45 that has become my daily carry. Mine has the satin nickle finish. Looks great, cleans easy. It is a very dependable gun!

I would give it an A for fit and function, and a B for finish.

Thunder 380 is the only Bersa I've shot, a friend of mines. Fell in love with the gun, would buy one in a heart beat, and will when I'm ready to add 380 to the line up (just more expensive to shoot is only thing stopping me and too many other guns coming out on my list). Anyway, I liked it. A lot!

Bought one of my kids a Bersa Thunder 380CC for Christmas this year so my experience with it is somewhat limited.

However, with the limited exposure I've had with it I love the little gun. Great gun at a great price.

I have owned both the thunder 9 high cap, the thunder .380 and the thunder .45 undercover. Functionally they have been very accurate and reliable, None of the three guns jammed a single time. The only con i can think of is with their matte black slides finish, It is a little splotchy in places but not real noticable unless you look quite hard. Fit and fuction is amazing though.

I have a Bersa Thunder 380 that I use as my CCW. It’s large enough that it’s easy to shoot and small enough to conceal fairly easily.

I sometimes wish it had more oomph than a 380 but everything’s a tradeoff as they say. There are some similarly sized 9mm’s on the market, the Kahr PM9 for one, but none that have yet replaced the Bersa. I had a PM9 for awhile but I never shot it as well as I do the Bersa.

As with everyone else I’d give it an A; except for finish.

Bought my Bersa Series 95 back in 1998 for $188 and liked it so much I had it customized with a "dehorning" and then Black T finish applied. Sold my Beretta 84 soon after. A year ago I added CT laser grips, so it might be the most expensive Series 95 ever...

100% reliable with factory FMJ or JHP, or my reloads (including lead RN plinkers). Plus, I think she looks nice...
