Best 12ga for EVERYTHING

I have 2 Mossberg 500's and 2- 18.5 inch bbls, 2 -22 inch bbls. and 1- 20 inch ported slug bbl. I also have an Ithica 37 in 12ga. and a Springfield 12ga.
Since I am a lefty I perfer the Mossberg 500.
With the slug bbl. I can hit targets out to 200yds. This bbl. also does well with slugs.
The 18.5 inch bbl is good out to 100yds. with slugs only.

The beauty of a shotgun is that they are all versatile. Just get a good shotgun that will handle any load and you should be good to go. I have a Xtrema that I use for....deer, turkey, duck, skeet, coyote, dove, and whatever else I want to hunt. I don't have a slug barrel, but I either need a shotgun, with buckshot in it, or I need a rifle. Another barrel is almost $700 so I have learned to use the 24" barrel for everything, now I love the shorter barrel and would have it no other way. As stated, any shotgun that will handle a wide variety of loads will suite you well.

The "choke " is more important. The "everything" is more a personal thing.

I have a Mossberg 930 and I like it. I do have a rifled barrel also, since in lower MI I have to use shotgun to hunt deer.

That said, the most important things for your all-around gun are the stock fit and the trigger pull. Get your gun fitted to you, and get a smith to make your trigger pull nice and smooth. Most new guns have a trigger that leaves something to be desired.

There are many good 12 ga. options here. Economy, 870 or 500 are good pumps.Ithica is better if you got the bucks.BPS is over priced and not so good (I have one and and my 870 is a better gun). Enonomy 1187 is good semi. I like the benelli best of the best but the beretta is a great 2nd to benelli. IMO.

I vote a Remington 870 Wingmaster. Best all around shotgun out there!! Bar none...

Chevy , Dodge , or Ford Truck's pick your favorite...Remington, Mossberg or Winchester pumps will all get the job done...I have all three. Myself and my 2 sons and 5 grandsons prefer Mossberg's because of the tang safety and lighter weight..I brought all of them Rem 870's and Mossberg's while growing up..Now my gunsafe is full of 870's in storage, not a mossy to be found.BTW all guns were used for deer, ducks,doves and skeet..
