I always thought it was Wilson Bulletproof or Ed Brown, but some fairly recent online reviews (2-4 years ago) have disparaged those parts -- casting lines, off-center pins, poor fit and finish, won't lock slide back with Wilson magazines, etc.

Maybe some of those older issues have since been fixed?

I do read nice comments about EGW parts.

Anyone have any preferences or experience? I'm looking for a drop-in stainless steel standard slide stop with a .200" pin.

I'd say the top three picks for a slide stop are going to be Wilson Combat Bullet Proof, Ed Brown, or Cylinder and Slide; EGW is also a solid pick. FWIW, Ed Brown and Wilson parts are machined from a forged blank, not cast.

I bought a used Colt officers model a few years back. The second time I took it to the range the slide stop broke. I put in a Wilson Bulletproof and all has been fine since.

Wilson, Brown and EGW are my picks. Not a knock on Cylinder and Slide, I simply have not had any parts from them. I do, however, have entire pistols built with Brown, Wilson and EGW parts. They have been very good for lots of rounds (tens of thousands). C&S might be on par with them, I just don't know. They do have a good reputation, though, so I wouldn't be afraid of being ripped off at all.
