I was right about to recommend one of those LC. I handled a traded in A1 at a Gander Mtn near me. It was real nice, but still a little too pricey for me. Great gun though

An ugly duckling? Now my feelings is hurt. :(
I got it at Gander Mountain, they are the only ones that retailed them here in the states. Only a couple of hundred of them were imported, and now they are defunct. If you want one, you better get one now.

While a not stellar example of a "good" gun, the AR-15 platform with a good upper can do quite well. Here's mine: http://www.pixagogo.com/4825444121 It has a 16" upper from Model 1. 3x9 compact Leupold scope. It really needs a better scope for paper punching. Crosshairs are too thick. Great for hunting, not for targets. And I'm not the best shot. It is ammo sensitive. One brand of mil surp shoots a LOT better than the others. And I'm still working on my reloads. Hotter is not better with my reloads. The dot on the white targets are smaller than an inch. It's a 3/4" dot.

I too have an AIA M10-A2 . kinda like a Enfield M4 Jungle Gun copy but better. Beautiful gun. Matching wood furnature, fantastic machining, finished metal perfect , chrome barrel all the way into the suppressor, scope rail included, canvas gun case, sight tool, & 2 5rd mags.
No longer imported as the parts are made in evil countries of Vietnam(wood) and machined in N. Korea. Gander Mountain snapped the last of them from the defunct distributers. I only paid $700.oo. For mine...worth every penny and more.

I have no problems with Vietnam but I personally would not buy anything from N. Korea or any other state openly hostile to the U.S. (and yes that includes California). :)
