These days I don't shoot much .38/.357 but have a number of loads using Missouri Bullets (158gr).
Back when I was a broke enlisted man we loaded either 000 Buckshot for 'powderpuff loads' or 148gr hollow base wadcutters for lighter plinking rounds. Self-defense rounds were those same 148gr HBW seated backwards (out of a snubby .38). For both hunting and silhoutte shooting it was the 158gr hard cast in at "warm" loadings to make sure that danm metal ram tipped over!
