Best and Worst in piston AR's?

Now that they have been out for awhile, which piston AR style rifles are the best and worst. I would like to keep this to personal experience, so don't just say you like one because I heard this or that. So please go with personal experience. Yes, this includes ACR's, XCR"s, and SCAR rifles. Any piston AR style rifle is a go.

Do you have an AR15 currently? If not, first buy a quality AR15, Colt, BCM, PSA, etc. etc.

I have a Bushy and a sr-556. Have never had a problem with the Bushy? The Ruger on the other hand has had a crack appear in the bolt face. I replaced it my self with a les baer bolt. I expected the Bushy to have problems, not the Ruger. After the new bolt I have had no problems but I was screwing around on youtube and found a video about carrier tilt. I haven't had that problem but mine is a newer version. I was just trying to see what everyone that has the piston guns think. After all the AR threads on here I guessed the amount of experience would dictate my next piston AR buy.

Loving my Adams Arms mid length upper. Just under 2000 rounds and no signs of carrier tilt on the buffer tube.

My Ruger SR556 on the other hand has a good amount of carrier tilt wear on the buffer, I have one of the first runs if that means anything. I heard the newer ones are good to go.

I was curious also about the Stag model 8.

The ruger should be good to go. The rest of the rifle seems to be overbuilt so I am sure they would have considered carrier tilt.

Okay. Was just wondering because sometimes people are shopping for their first gun and want the "best" when they'd be better served by just getting a quality AR15.

I actually wasn't kidding about the Daewoo. Daewoo Max II/AR100/K2 (it was called a few different things). A DR200 is functionally the same, just has a lame thumbhole stock as opposed to one of the best folding stock mechanisms ever made.

I installed the Bushmaster Gas Piston kit into my M4A3 and love it. No problems at all. Runs super clean, works as advertised! Thing I like the best is it don't throw brass into the next county now!! Also, seems like the cyclic rate is slowed somewhat. I'm happy with it!!

My POF has been flawless, no issues of any kind. It's better than 1 MOA accurate, and easy to clean.

I have two Adams Arms uppers. One is on a Franklin Armory lower and one is on a Spikes Tactical lower. Both guns are excellent shooters and to me, the felt recoil is less than a regular impingement upper. I haven't noticed any carrier tilt on either gun but am always keeping a close eye. I'm very happy with both of them.

That being said, I'm saving up for a PWS MK116. 'Never a bad thing said about them, and the long-stroke piston is nice.

got an eaa arms,3 olympic arms from the 80's,2 smith and wesson, and new le6940,no probs.

No "AR" technically; since it wasn't designed as a piston system everything is just a kludged together work-around to make it work.

That said, the best is the AR-100, from Daewoo

Best: FN SCAR, FN FS2000

Worst: Anything frankenstiened onto an AR-15. Moving the piston to the barrel of a AR-15 or Ar-10 only makes that weapon worse.

If I was to buy a piston system AR this is the one I would spend my hard earned money on. It appears to me to be the best one made, on paper anyway. The PWS equipment I do have is top notch.
