Hello,

I am looking for a 9MM for around $550... I am thinking about a Baby Eagle full size steel frame. I am looking for something full size with a crisp trigger pull. Sig's have too long of a pull and I don't really care for Glocks. How about a beretta and what do you guys think about the Baby Eagle (I loved the trigger pull in the store...)?

I currently have a Ruger Mark III Comp Gov't and a H&K USP .45 Tactical and am looking for something in the middle...

Thanks!

if you're going to skip glocks and sigs, try a single action CZ for the 'crispness'. alternatively, also take a look at the EAA match/elite products which are comparable to the CZs in ergos and can also come with nice single action triggers. both can come in 9 and 40.

XD, M&P.

Edit: what's up with the automatic lower case?

Edit: weird, if I delete the edit, it goes back to lower case. If I leave it, its stays in capitals.

M&Ps have crisp, short trigger pulls, check out an M&P9.

And if you do buy one, get the money rebate because the mags take for everrr!

I have a Baby Eagle Semi-Compact in 9mm, It is the same grip/frame as a Fullsize, but it has a shorter Barrel.

I love mine, and will never sell it, I Have full trust in it, I have put down 300rds no FTF no FTE no jams of any kind.

It is the best out of the box accuracy I have ever shot, and the trigger pull is just straight Sexy!!!

I would go with an older one, with IMI or IWI on the grips.. mine was befor MR took over and Eff'd it all up... I dont care for the BEII.

thats just my 2 cents

Well I ended up with a 9mm IWI Baby Eagle. Full size, steel with two 15rd. mags and a rail. It just felt so good in my hand and I love the trigger. It feels as good or better than my USP tactical...

I will post a range report when I take delivery in 7-10 days...

XD or M&P.. the IWI BE is a good choice, but Magnum Research is not importing them any more.. they are now going to be imported with the name Jericho (which is the original name), but i don't know who is going to import them.. i don't know if there are any issues with warranty/service with MR.. you might want to look at Tangfolio, EAA, or CZ too.. if the BE interests you..

Beretta PX4

17 round magazine, great ergonomics, easy to clean and maintain, and very accurate. However, it is a bit bulky to carry. If you are looking for a small 9MM to carry, the Kahr PM9 is a good choice. I paid $555 for mine plus tax.

I would look no further than a used SigSauer model. I really like the 239 for concealed and the other larger variants for overall use.
