Best Bag for the Range?

Bagmaster.com has some nice bags, American made with a lifetime warranty. I use both the standard shooters bag - medium and the mini range bag deluxe. Also use several of their bullet bags. I like the fact that they have colors other than basic black available.

I've used the mini range bag on a weekly basis for years and it still looks good - the dirt and mud cleans off easily with a brush and the straps and zippers they use are very heavy duty. Has internal padded pockets for 2 pistols and 8 magazines with a space in the middle that fits 5 50-round ammo boxes, and an outside pouch that is perfectly sized for ear-muffs and eye-pro.

I went to 'specialty range bags' years ago in the late 1980's, right after a cheap 'non-shooting' bag came unsnapped and my 6 inch GP100 (unloaded) dropped onto the concrete floor at the range. Right onto the adjustable rear sight, of course... :cuss:

I just use a Jansport backpack that holds my gun case, ammo and supplies. Sling it over my back and I'm good to go.

While at the range someone, came in with a Wheeled Jansport backpack; which was a great idea especially when hauling in bricks of ammo.

That's what I'm planning on picking up next: A Jansport Roller duffle.
