Ok my Lock-N-Load is on it's way from Midway USA. I'm reloading 380 to start because it's nowhere to be found in my neck of the woods.

Now from what I've read in the archived post of these forums, I realize that .380 is much more costly than in the past, but please don't use this thread as a place to vent about high prices. I don't care what prices were last year. I'm going to work with what I can get right now.

My understanding is that online auction sites are the best spots to get once fired brass. I see the going rate on gunbroker is about $100 per thousand or 10 cents a case. Anywhere cheaper?

For bullets I've found Missouri Bullet Company with 500 lead nose for $25 or about 5 cents a bullet (EDIT: My shipping was about an extra 13 dollars). And Montana Gold with 1000 hollow point for $97 or 10 cents a bullet (EDIT: + $5 for shipping to residential address).

After powder and primers I'm still beating a box of 50 for $17 (price in my town, but only when it's available) which is about 35 cents a round.

Any better deals out there?

I also load .380 Auto and I would say you have the best prices I've seen. I buy 92g Meister hard lead round nose bullets, 500 at a time, but I think the price was a bit higher than $25

As for the brass, it also sounds like you are doing alright. For a little while on Gunbroker a guy was selling 100 rounds of brand new Starline Brass. I bought 200 rounds of that and got brass from other various sources and now have about 1,000 rounds of brass and about 1,500 bullets to load. I am also set on primers and powder. I've been using Red Dot powder with excellent results.

380 brass

here is a great site leo brass in fl. when i checked last 100 pieces of range brass was 8$ . order limit of 500. i have bought 2000 or so no problems great service and fasttttt shipping

+1 on leobrass dot com

It's still $8 for 100 and for an extra dollar fifty they will clean and polish. Which is great until I save up for a tumbler.

That seems really high for once fired brass. Google "once-fired brass" to find a lot of sites that sell it, and also peruse the buy/sell/trade forum here. I've seen plenty for less that $50/1000 shipped.

Yep. I believe "WileyWapiti5" of this forum sells .380 brass at good prices. And he has good reviews.

oncefiredbrass.net

they have .380

i've ordered thousands of 9mm brass from them . brass is always in good shape .

I'm using 95 grain cast bullets that I *think* I bought from Mike at mastercastbullets.com (I know I've bought bullets there before and been really happy with them, just not sure if that's where I got these)

Good luck finding brass.

affordablebrassandbullets.com has 1000 RNFT (100gr) for $75 + $12 shipping (flat rate on all orders). Not bad for completely plated or "encapsulated" as I believe these are.

oncefiredbrass.net carries .380 brass but are sold out at the moment.

Mastercastbullets is under construction but prices .380 at $32.57 per "M" I suppose that means 500? They are still accepting orders via telephone.

Thanks for the updates

as 'Inspector' Red Dot does great under cast slugs from the supplier of 'zxcvbob' mastercastbullets.com
pleasantly surprised at the groups obtained with this combo out of my BDA.
IIRC 'longdayjake' here on the forum has an ad for .380 plated in trading post section.
