Hello...
Can anyone give me some recommendations? I carry a Shield 40 in a Ventcore AIWB holster. My leather belt is wearing out. I'd like to try a nylon belt. What do you guys like? Thanks for any help.

I've been using Wilderness belts for a couple of decades now. They offer a number of different widths, levels of stiffness, colors, and a couple of different buckles.

I've been using one of their "Frequent Flyer" belts for about 10 years now. They use a non metal double ring buckle that doesn't look like a "gunbelt".

They are infinitely adjustable through their size range, so you always have a comfortable fit.

I use the Wilderness frequent flyer with the 5 rows of stitching, awesome belt. No holes so it works great whether you are carrying or not, comfortable but yet very stiff. Highly recommend.

I wear a 5.11 Tactical Trainer belt and Bison Last Chance Heavy Duty belt. For the price the Bison is great and used an aluminum buckle instead of the steel of the 5.11. much lighter.

Been using a Vedder for a year now and it's good. Not as stiff as the RDR one I had been using for 5 years or so, more comfortable if maybe not as good with heavy guns.

But I don't carry heavy guns anymore so that's not an issue.

I got the two pack Kore essentials a while ago. I've never regretted spending the money on them. Very stiff, but not uncomfortable, just what you want in a gun belt. I wear one of them every day gun or no gun.

"Best" is subjective. I have a 2-ply Klik Belt that's several years old and still looks new. It's well made and still very stiff and was great when I carried IWB at about 4:00.

But that stiffness makes it less comfortable, especially with thinner synthetic pants and shorts, and I've found it's not as important a factor now that I carry AIWB. Now my every day belt is a Patagonia Tech Web belt. Very comfortable and has no problem holding up my 30oz loaded K6s, and most importantly doesn't slip.

Another vote for Kore. I have 2 belts, one leather and one nylon. Have been using both for carry going on 5 years I believe with no issues. One of my leather belts developed a small tear in the leather that didn't go all the way through the layers or across the whole belt. I was inside the warranty period and they sent me a new belt. By far they are the best belts I have used for carry.

Uncle Mike’s re enforced instructor belt. Same one for about 7 years now.

I've been using Wilderness belts for a couple of decades now.
Yeah, The Wilderness Tactical Instructor belt or their Frequent Flyer belts, in 5-stitch variety are the industry standard. Whether they are "the best", I don't know, but it's who everybody compares their products.

The Wilderness Tactical https://www.thewilderness.com/belts/ Pay attention to the sizing instructions. They may seem odd, but they work.

An indication of the respect they have from knowledgeable gun folks, Milt Sparks, who make their own outstanding gun belts, offers them on their website ( https://www.miltsparks.com/store.php#!/Wilderness-Belts/c/28386548 ), they are also carried at the Gunsite Pro Shop ( https://www.gunsitestore.com/product/apparel/belt/5-stitch-wilderness-belt/ ), and are also recommended by well regarded kydex holster maker JM Custom Kydex ( https://www.jmcustomkydex.com/p/OWB.html ).

Yep. That's the one. Thanks everyone!

Wilderness. It's been 10 years since I got it and I wear it whenever i need a belt.

Anson. Stopped using Kore due to the wear on both the leather and nylon EDC belts. Anson, seem to wear longer with less damage due to a holster. Identical in design as basically all click belts are, more buckles to choose from. But to be honest, for most of my life carrying handguns, I just used a good 1.5 inch leather belt with a standard buckle and never had a problem. In some areas I operated, leather didn't hold up due to high humidity levels.
