Uhhmm... the one's that I would recommend have already been spoken for. I'll be sure to post if I think of any others. :)

The good, the bad & the ugly

Fistful of dollars

For a few dollars more

High Plains Drifter

Outlaw Josie Wales

Rooster Cogburn

The Green Berets

Patton

What's been mentioned plus:

Last Man Standing

Hard Boiled

The Killer

The Matrix series

Stargate SG-1 series (They stay up to date with current trends and have pretty good gun handling. I just love seeing the P90 on TV :) ).

Cowboy Bebop (anime)

Ghost In the Shell (anime)

Gunsmith Cats (anime)

Trigun (anime)

Cowboy Bebop - I'll never buy a Jericho, but seeing this show made me think about it :).

Black Hawk Down - More of a war movie than a gun movie. That scene with Shughart and Gordon, however, was as tragic and heroic as movies get. Coolest use of the M14 on film, IMHO.

The Killer - The best of the John Woo Hong Kong blood operas. Hard-Boiled was also pretty good.

Die Hard - The first one was the best. Taking on a dozen heavily armed terrorists/thieves with a service 9mm? Takes guts.

Full Metal Jacket - only until R. Lee gets it
True Grit - the best western
Stagecoach - the best western
The Shootist - the best western (what motel):uhoh:

Gun Movie

Heat

It had by far the best rolling gun battle that I have ever seen. The sound was incredible.

I don't think that was a set, it looks like they used a real street corner.

One part of the scene you can see empty casings flying about 10 feet. Must of been real blanks and not stage (pop) ammo.

Later :D

Quigley, I left that out
My Old Man always liked Hell Is For Heroes, with Steve McQueen
Said it was about as close as Hollywood could get

The HBO series on DVD, Band of Brothers. You won'teven know you're on
the cycle.....

And I'll second or third Quigly Down Under....fun movie.

Thanks for the list, I saw a few in there I'd like to check out
The way of the Gun....thats what I thought I was looking for in the video store, the :cuss:-ards didn't have it .
Black Hawk Down- I have it, and have watched it about a dozen times this winter.

:D

HEAT.

My personal favorite movie. Got a great plot as well as good gun battles. Something about the duality of man. The main cop and the main robber are very similar in personality. It's quite good.
