Vulcan is the new name for Hesse. I think if you search on google for the terms "Hesse" and "piece of sh*t" you will get numerous hits.

Is this a shameless plug for MPA? :neener:

From what I have heard, MasterPiece Arms is one of the worst companies out there! I have heard that their guns will blow up in your hands killing you and probably your loved ones as well. I heard this story once of a guy shooting a MasterPiece Arms MAC-10 and when he pulled the trigger the first time, the gun went full auto. It got out of control and shot everyone at the range including the guy shooting the gun. I think there were 23 people in all killed that bloody day. :eek:

That man was my father and all those people were my family. :fire: In one fatefull day, I lost everything thanks to MasterPiece Arms. :cuss: I swore revenge and someday, I will have it! :mad:

in my experience, I have owned a semi auto m11/9 and now own a full auto M10/45. these are heavy, not so accurate handgun caliber weapons... and I found after a short time pretty boring with just semi auto action. they do look pretty cool though imo, and a couple hundred bucks sure beats several grand..

Alright, but has anyone had any experience with the manufacturer?

The 9mm carbine looks really neat...I don't think there's any way to own one in MD, unfortunately...

i've had m9/11s and texas ingrams over the years and none of them would work for very long....now that i'm older and probably no wiser i think i'd just buy a 9mm glock with a 32 round mag and shoot from the hip.....you'll hit just about as much and still have a gun that will last for ever...D I C K

re: experience with the manufacturer

I own over a dozen of their guns in every configuration. It's taken me several years to amass that, and if I pull out all of my MPA MAC-10's, I can track their constant improvement and upgrading. 2 of them are from their first or second build with low serial #s and look a lot different from the current build which makes my mouth water every time I take it out of my safe.

They are relatively small, with their design, test and cnc manufacturing effectively all done "in house."

Once, they had a batch of firing pins that were over hardened, and I know of one guy who had the pin break (there used to be a MAC web board loaded with MPA owners, but the domain expired). He called MPA and they sent him a few replacements. They have a reputation of fixing any problems like that in a timely pro customer sort of way.

The screw on extensions they are now making for the 9mm M-11 pistol are nice and long, and milled from solid aluminum.

Things they've re-engineered which beat the MACs from the 80s:

Their charging handle does not spin around like the old M-11s did;
Their M-11s take Sten mags instead of those old plastic mags;
They mill a piece out of the right side of the bolt, at an angle, for reliability;
They got rid of the ball bearing mag release, in favor of traditional button at bottom of mag well.

I'm keeping my ones that they made during the AW ban, because they engineered this cool clamp on barrel extension (because threads on a heavy pistol were "evil" for 10 years).

This one is the "side cocker" with scope mount, which is kind of unnecessary if you ask me (but nifty with a red dot on it!):
