Howdy, all, been a while since I was able to post. Everyone's looking forward to the 2004 purchases/trades but I wanted to look back on the best purchases/trades of 2003.

What were your best acquisitions for the year?

I was blessed with a lot of overtime and work-travel so I was finally able to get a small collection going of what I've always wanted.

Here's my "best of" - clockwise from top:

Norinco SKS w/bayonet, USGI SA/SG M1 Garand, Marlin 882 .22mag, Winchester Model 70 XTR .30/06, and a Savage 311 12ga dbl barrel (cammied)

Ruger Super Redhawk .44mag, Sig P-220 .45acp two-tone, S&W 6906, Ruger MKII Target .22, S&W 28-2 .357mag Hihgway Patrolman, Beretta 92FS, Ruger Single Six .22lr w/.22mag cylinder and a Walther PPK/S .380

Wanting to add a 1903A3.....another M1 Garand.....or an AR-15 this year!

I'm lucky if I get one gun a year. However, I just got a 10/22 as a Christmas gift and shouldn't be complaining.

3 new guns in 2003:
Bushmaster Varminter
SP 101 .357
CZ97B

They are all very good, and each has a role.

My favorite though, hands down, is the Varminter. Something magical about putting 5 shots into 3/4 of an inch at 100 yards!

All I bought this year was a Mossberg 835.

Musta had something to do with being in Korea for half the year.

But this year I plan on getting a few guns
