Good, yet cheap? This is contractictory when talking leather.

Cheap is the 1907 style that Walmart sells, runs $12.00.

Good is a Turner synthetic or real leather match sling. Midway has those....prices vary.

There's probably no such thing.

Order one from Turner Saddlery, they cost about $50 and are worth the expense.

I've ordered a cheap 1907 style sling from Uncle Mike's once and it was such a piece of crap that I never even put it on a rifle, this one cost me $20. I've seen a few cheap 1907 style slings in shops, and none of looked to be any use for shooting.

If you buy one from Turner, it will be cheap.
It will do everything it was designed to do and will last a lifetime.

OR, you can go cheap, get one of those $10 MRT leather 1907 slings and hate it, break it, buy another and repeat.

Get a Turner or a Les Tam and buy once.

A year ago I purchased a black leather Turner to go on my H-bar and I was tremendously pleased. A few months back I was feeling frugal and ordered an Uncle Mike's from Midway About 15.00 if I remember correctly. I should have put that toward another Turner. Good Shooting....Essex

Re 1907 Style Leather Slings....

Springfield Armory...... crap
Uncle Mikes..... Ultra crap
Boyt..... MEGA crap

If you want a GOOD quality leather 1907 sling, get a Turner, or for about the same price call up Les Tam and have him make you one to your spec, your length front strap, color, date, initials, logo stampings... etc.

Unless he's changed something since I last heard... $55 DELIVERED. :)

I have 3 Les Tam slings.... two on my Match M1's, one on my DCM AR.

Good stuff Maynard.

Best to all,
Swampy
