Looking to find a local place where I can get consitant prices on reloading supplies (components) Also still lacking a few peices of equipment. Ive found some great deals online, but then there is shipping and paying shipping for powder / primers doesnt make much sense to me. any help TIA

Also ive just started reloading .308 and am shooting a FN spr s1 20"BBL and a rem 700Pss .308 26"BBL

Anyone do any distance shooting in austin and know of any good ranges? Im in south austin.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Sportsman's Warehouse in Round Rock has a good selection of reloading gear and the prices are usually well below Cabela's. If you're in South Austin though, the drive may be eat up the cost savings. :(

In Central Texas, there is only one place: McBrides. They got it all. If you go, plan to spend a few hours browsing. Reloading stuff is upstairs, and they got it all - even a little bit of Lee stuff, which is rarely found in most sporting goods stores, IMO. The guy upstairs (I forget his name) knows his stuff and he'll steer you straight. They got it all...powder, bullets, primers, cases, tools, you name it and then some. Prices may not always be the best, but sometimes "gotta have" trumps "shop til you drop" to save a buck.

Cabela's has gone up 30% on supplies. Their .308 dies were 18.99 though. I'll have to agree that McBride's, or Tex-Guns is still competitive. Austin Rifle Club out near Manor was 75.00 a yr. You get the combo to the gate and must go through orientation. They have a 300 yd night I think on Wednesday. Austin rifle range has closed. Lone Star range's number is 750-9843 or 801-2624. Pistols for now but long gun soon. Welcome!

Great, thanks for the help guys. I went to Mcbrides yesterday and picked up a few things, their prices are a few more bucks then the best deals that i found online for bullets powder etc etc.. but when you pay shipping it prolly works out to be about the same. I also went to cabelas got the lee 3 die set for 19$ heck of a deal on non comp dies considering rcbs you have to buy all 2 at like $36 a peice. Im going to check out the Rifle club, again though as someone noted in south austin ive got a heck of a drive with lots of traffic to get to most places.

Thanks Again!
