best sites to buy reload supplies?

Powder Valley has Missouri Bullets & Zero in cast. Decent pricing.

Their pistol powder supply is hit and miss as with many other etailers.

Midsouth Shooters, Grafs & Sons, Wideners, to name a few more.

Like a zillion others I do a lot of shopping at Midway, mostly because I happened to find them first, when I viewed one of Larry Potterfield's gunsmithing videos online. However, I've never been able to order powder from them. Primers, yes, but never powder. Once I waited for months. For powder I make a long drive to a brick-and-mortar supplier on the other side of the state 2-3 times a year. Gun shows are a good source of reloading supplies, including powder. Keep an eye on the THR buy/sell threads, too: I sold off about 7 lbs of unused powder just a couple of months ago, cheap!!

I bought 16 lbs of smokeless and 5 lbs of BP from Graf's a few weeks ago - they sent an email sale message ($15 HAZMAT Fee for 16 lbs) and I struck while the iron was still glowing. I bought some I didn't really need, but they had powder I hadn't seen literally in years. They had pistol powder then, but I was buying rifle powder so I didn't really pay close attention to the stock on hand.

Count yourself lucky. Midway does NOT stock powder - they have it dropped shipped from Powder Valley. Had you ordered both primers and powder on the same order, you would have been hit for TWO hazmat fees...........

Midway is a retail store not much different than Cabela's, BASS, Graf's or others.

If I bought pistol bullets I would use Missouri Bullets. I purchased a few hundred but I started casting my own shortly after

They are of excellent quality and very well priced. Good people that run that outfit too. They are active members on the board.

As far as powder, I don't buy in bulk so I don't usually order online.
Powder Valley would likely be as good a place to buy as any.

Missouri Bullets (their site, no reason to get them anywhere else and pay more) and RMR for bullets
Graf, Brownells, Third Gen Shooting Supply, Recobs, Natchez, Mid South Shooters supply, Midway USA and Cableas.

Cabelas just had a great deal on S+B primers at $20/1000 their hazmat is only $20 unlike some others that are about $28.

Lots of other places as well these are just the ones I have used and been happy with.

I would suggest using gunbot.net. I was able to see near real time who had what and when, and thus make an order. The site can divide it by price per as well.

Left off RMR = Rocky Mountain Reloading.
I really like their brand of plated pistol bullets, My favorites in plated pistol bullets.
