Best Subcompact Choice 9mm for about 500

Bought a slightly used Glock 33, with night sights, old style finish (but in excellent shape), for $385, including tax. Even came with spare mag and the mags had Pierce extended bases.

Added NY-1 trigger and 3.5 connector myself and at 25 yards, standing, two handed, with CCI Gold dot 125s got 4 out of 4 head shots in a IDPA target.

Not bad. Deals are out there like that if you look.

You have chosen wisely. All of the guns you have mentioned, with the possible exception of the Keltec, are great choices. They all have good reputations. Choose whichever fits your hand and budget best and be happy.

Went to the gun show in Cowtown (Fort Worth for those of you not from Texas) today with the intention of buying either the G26 or XD Compact. Never touched either and don't own other Glocks or XDs.

Could not, could not, could not get the Glock to feel right in my hand. (And I have large hands!) Felt bulky and cumbersome. Picked up the XD - felt very natural. Pointed better, felt better, and, to me, looked better. (I got it in black & olive green)

I know Glock is a fine weapon, but I'm happy with my choice.

I'll report in again after I get back from the range.
