I'm a new CHL holder and recently bought a Glock 27. My brother-in-law, a police officer in Oklahoma, recommended the Galco Ankle Light to me, and I have one on order (for about 6-weeks now...apparently Galco doesn't make many for lefties).

I figure when I'm wearing pants, that'll be my preferred method of carry.

I'm looking ahead to summer...shorts weather. I've looked at a lot of holsters online, but I'm hesitant to buy one, as I'm afraid once I get it I may find that it's too uncomfortable or doesn't work as I thought it would.

What is a good holster to go with for concealment when wearing shorts? My main concerns are concealment obviously, comfort and stability (I don't want my gun flapping around). Any thoughts are welcome...thanks.

take a look at the crossbreed supertuck. i carry my G27 in it daily with no problems

+1 for the Galco stow and go. Cheap but effective. Some swear by Brommeland IWB which I have for a 1911 - and it is comfortable for that gun - but I don't have one for G27 and it's expensive.

I use a Galco summer comfort for my G26. It was about 60.00 I believe. Milt Sparks summer special is outstanding as well. A little more pricey at around 70.00. My .02. Get yourself a good double stitched belt as well. I learned the hard when I went skimpy on my belt when I started carrying. I use a 5.11 tactical. Very affordable at 30.00. You can find them at any police/uniform store.

Both holsters mentioned are IWB.

Thanks for all the info...there's so many out there...it's great to have some feedback.
