I am in the market for a weapon light with a laser to put on the accessory rail of my pistol. I have been doing some research and wanted some personal opinions of the ergonomics, quality, ease of use, and satisfaction of these lights. I have been looking at the glock light, streamlight, surefire (the price makes this not and option but still nice), and insight.

Any opinions, suggestions, or thoughts are welcome on these lights, or any other brands you may have experience with, are welcome.

I got the glock light with red laser, No complaints about how it works But it's limited to holsters!

I think the Streamlight TLR2 is the best bang for the buck. Sure Fire makes the X400, but it's 450 bucks. Cost almost as much as the gun. Insight Tech makes the M6X which I have. It's not an LED based light. It has a halogen bulb but so far after 600 rounds through my Glock 22, it seems to be fine.

I'd get for the TLR2 by Streamlight for the best value. It's LED as well. Good run time and very bright.

My .02 cents

I bought the CAA laser/light combo. I didn't really care about the laser, but the unit was cheaper than the cheapest Streamlight light-only unit. The CAA works well if the mount is tightened down. Unfortunately, when it's as tight as it needs to be it is no longer QD. The switch is a push-button toggle, not a rocker like the Surefire. It did come with a pressure switch and cable, but I haven't hooked that up yet. Overall I'm not terribly impressed with the unit as a laser/light combo, but as a light only it's not bad for the money. The laser is useful for messing with the dog though :D
