I was stumbling around on BladeHQ and came across this Bestech Wibra. I'm not sure why but I like the overall appearance very much. Milled titanium provides a very nice gripy handle in my opinion, as I've experienced on a few other knives, and this one is very nicely milled in my opinion.

I really like how space efficient it is too when closed.

Specs: 3.5 inch blade I believe. M390 blade. Thumb flick opening in blade. Minimal flipper, or pocket pecker as some call it.

I ordered the all silver/stainless version. I don't really go for overly anodized titanium.

These are obviously marketing images.

Anyone have any experience with Bestech? I read and watched a bunch of reviews, and they were overwhelmingly positive on this model. I know they have budget models also.

I got a small bonus a few months ago. Most went into car insurance and savings, but I wanted to have a little fun. This seemed appropriate.

I know this will probably look overly busy to some, but to me it's very practical in every way, and made from premium materials. It looks very gentlemanly IMO.

The only thing I don't care for is the emblem on the blade. I wish it was smaller and on the non-show side, preferably off the grind.

For anyone interested in this particular model, I have now spent a few days with it.

The overall ergonomics are extremely nice for me. I have XL hands as a reference. The blade came plenty sharp from the factory. Maybe not what most consider scary sharp, but certainly sharp enough for my purposes. It'll cleanly cut paper, and shave hair. Blade centering is great, and the action is very smooth. I chose to tighten up the pivot ever so slightly. I like a firm deliberate push on the flipper to fire a knife, and I don't want it to drop closed on my thumb when closing. Not that it would have, I just like it slightly tighter. It's very slim, has no hot spots that I can really detect during use, and you can easily reach past it to get to other things in the bottom of your pocket.

There is one MAJOR flaw that now that I think about it was not covered in any of the reviews I watched. Bestech machined and put a wonderful titanium clip on this knife. Unfortunately they did not provide enough clearance for the knife to sit as deeply in your pocket as it should. The clip needs to be a few mm taller to provide the needed clearance. I have to say I find this very annoying for a knife at this price point.

Don't get me wrong, it clips firmly to your pocket, and isn't rattling out, but it just should sit deeper. The main reason it bothers me is if I lean into something or brush by someone, I don't want it snagging on anything or to mar up the titanium that's exposed. I also treat my knives like I do my gun. It's no one's business what I have on me .

I'm going to keep an eye out for a deep pocket after market clip but even if I don't find one it's not a deal breaker. I actually think this knife would work well in a shirt pocket, but I don't carry knives that way. I even thought about removing the clip and trying to file some material away to increase the clearance. But I'm guessing I'd weaken it enough it could fail at some point. It'd probably look like hell as well. It's a great knife otherwise, just be aware of this one issue.
