Better than airsoft?

looks pretty cool.

right up until his closing statement:
"I'm not a gun advocate, and I see no reason why somebody living in the city should have a real gun."

That's a pretty stupid way of making one. Plastic and copper have pretty different coefficients of thermal expansion. Changing the temperature rapidly (which airguns do) will eventually crack the seams and send the barrel and/or tank flying off.

I've made a similar one before, out of all PVC pipe. It could make a pretty good sized dent in a piece of wood, using a CO2 cartridge. And it was able to get a penny up to supersonic velocities.

edit: I mean, an empty CO2 cartridge, used as the projectile. Wasn't exactly clear.

I independently developed a similar one

That’s cool, I independently developed a similar one with a blowgun and a refillable fire extinguisher, it shoots quite well I’d imaging you could maybe kill some one with it if you hit them in the head. (It sticks the ball into plywood.):D

You know those CO2 puffers they use for fouled muskets?

There's a couple of different makes. Holds a CO2 cartridge and has a football-inflator type needle for flint / wheel / matchlocks, and nipple adapters for percussion. I saw a blowgun dealer at a gun show a while back, who'd adapted the gadget for powering blowguns.

I've sseen quite a few gas guns before and I just really cant get past this
.25 beeman kodiak

.25 @775fps with 29ft/lbs muzzle energy.

Its not quite the same as the gas guns but its a single stroke break action which is quite impressive for those numbers. The .22 does 865fps
