The particular firearm is a 9mm BHP.

How can I check if the gun is firing in battery?

How can I check if the "battery safety" is working correctly?

How can I check if the gun is locking-up good?

Thanks. :)

The fact that the manual safety (that annoying little nub of a safety on the left side of the frame just above where your thumb rests) can be engaged, assuming that you have the hammer cocked, will be proof that the slide is all the way forward (in battery). If you cannot get the manual safety on as described above, then it is time to see your local gunsmith. Shoot safely.

By design, I think it would be impossible for the BHP to fire out of battery. The linkage of the sear and trigger would not align until the slide is fully forward.

That is what looks like from my own BHP.
